Days 36 and 37

Well folks, same ole same ole.  Here is where we stand with the Walkertown house.  Mom's bedroom and bathroom is DONE. The living room has a fireplace that is hidden behind a wall.  Didn't know what to do about opening it back up or cover with bead board.  As for now, we are going to cover it up.  If we want to open it later, we will.  So we got to put the bead board up, but other than that; we are DONE.  The hall is DONE.  The dining room in DONE.  The master bedroom and my closet is DONE.  The kitchen is DONE. The pantry is DONE.  If God is willing, we will start to sand and strip the hardwood floors in Mom's room, dining room, hall and master bedroom this weekend.  Dave is working after work on the floor in the laundry room and putting bead board up in there.  Mom and I are starting to collect boxes from the ABC store.  So our garage in Rural Hall is getting a bit busy looking with them.  Looks like we need to go to the AA meeting.  :)  We are now hoping to move in around Dave's birthday, May 21st.  That is where we are at this week.  CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE.  Hang on a bit longer, we are almost DONE.  Until later...

Hi TS I see you in the Dungeon

It has been awhile since I have posted.  Alot has been going on.  But it is time consuming work.  We have the bead board, crown molding and base board up and painted in the Living Room, Mom's Bedroom, Dining Room and Kitchen.  It is coming along very well.  The end of March is here and we won't be able to get done before March 31.  We are now aiming for the last of April.  We want to have it all done before we move in.  I am now taking the old hinges and door knobs out, cleaning and polishing them.  Now that is a very slow ordeal.  But I think it will be rewarding.  I hope to have another post before to long.  Don't leave me, the fun will start when we start moving in!!  Until later....

Sorry for a delay in blogging.  It has been rough in the house, we have had sickness with Mom and Dave.  Now I have it.  So please bear with us.  You can see that TS, RW and EW came and helped us out.  We have the kitchen 3/4 done.  All the appliances are now installed.  Need to finish the bar area and DONE with that room.  Mom and I cleaned the living room floor up from all the sawing and painting items that were EVERYWHERE in there.  I vacuumed the floor and the floor looks almost new.  Mom's bathroom is completed.  Her bedroom needs crown molding and she will be ready.  Except we are leaving the hardwood floors to the very end to strip and seal.  The laundry room has the washer and dryer fixtures moved to another wall, so I will have more room to fold clothes.  I took out the shelves that was in the laundry room, so we can put the freezer in there.  We will leave that room last to do.  We are going to complete the kitchen and Mom's room; then we will start on the other rooms.  One room at a time so we can concentrate on that room.  Dave is still saying end of this month we should be ready to move in.  If not completed, I would rather get it done first and then move in.  The building outside is being disassembled this week.  Getting ready to move out new building down to Walkertown.  That means we are getting closed to being back there.  HEE HEE HEE!!  Well, I will let you know when we work some more.  Thanks for hanging in there.  Until later,
